Upcoming Training Opportunities for Economic Developers

We’ll be leading a few upcoming professional development programs with our colleagues at the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) over the next month or so.   Next week (on March 25 & 26), I’ll be teaching IEDC’s basic Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Strategies course with my colleague Carol Lauffer. On April 20 and 21, we’ll be part of a big new undertaking at IEDC, teaching the first modules of the new Introduction to Entrepreneurship-Led Economic Development course.   This is a more in-depth dive into how regions and communities can anchor their economic development strategies around support for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ecosystems.  I’ve participated in the beta-testing of this excellent new program, and I’m excited to be part of the initial roll-out team.  Hope you can join us in March or April!
