Later this week, I’ll be part of a panel discussing how communities in Delaware can best recover and rebuild from the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic. The event is sponsored by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and is part of their ongoing Resilient and Sustainable Communities League summit series. I’ll be joined by my colleagues Troy Mix, of the University of Delaware, and Kirsten McGregor of SAGAX Associates. In addition to discussing strategies for economic revitalization, we’ll also be focused on Recover Delaware, a new University of Delaware initiative promoting new approaches to economic recovery. The Partnership has long been a state and regional leader on issues of environmental sustainability. Our December 9 panel will seek to link that work to new strategies for community economic development as well. The session will be on December 9, from 10 to 11:30 AM. Later panels on December 9 and 10 will examine other aspects of community resilience planning and disaster recovery and mitigation. You can learn more and sign up here. Hope you can join us!
