North Carolina Main Street Conference: March 9-11, 2021

If you’ve got some time next week, I encourage you to check out the North Carolina Main Street Center’s annual conference, which will run virtually from March 9-11, 2021.  While it’s always nicer to do these events in person and visit NC’s beautiful small towns, the virtual event will still be worth checking out.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the nuts and bolts of building vibrant and resilient downtowns. This years’ agenda is full of great panels and discussions, and I’m planning to join sessions on remote work trends, fundraising, trail development and design, and effective virtual events.  I also be giving a plenary presentation on “The Long and Winding Road:  Rebuilding Post-Pandemic Local Economies.”  This session will be at 2:30 PM (Eastern) on Wednesday, March 10.  You can learn more about the whole event and register here.  Hope to see you next week!
