Next week, I’ll be part of a team teaching the first ever training series on Entrepreneurship-Led Economic Development supported the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).   I’ve been a trainer for IEDC for many years, but this new course is an important upgrade in their offerings. This is a specialized four-day training (with 2 parts running from April 20 to 23) that takes a deep dive into how economic developers can help to build and nurture entrepreneur-friendly communities. This material is always relevent, but even more so as we begin our post-pandemic recovery. The new course was developed by IEDC in partnership with the Kauffman Foundation, SourceLink, and other partners. I participated in a beta-testing of the curriculum last month and was very impressed. So, I’m excited for this new opportunity. If you’re looking for the latest thinking on entrepreneur-led economic development, this is a good place to start. You can learn more about the program here.
