Today, the Delta Regional Authority introduced a helpful new report examining key workforce development trends across the eight-state Delta region. This effort was led by the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness, with support from EntreWorks Consulting. The report is designed to serve as a baseline assessment of workforce issues in the Delta Region, and will help to inform future iterations of the DRA’s excellent Delta Workforce Program.  The report highlights promising job growth sectors, such as manufacturing and transportation/logistics, while also recognizing that the Delta, like the rest of the US, is facing unprecedented workforce gaps and shortages. The region’s workforce and training infrastructure will need to evolve to serve a more diverse workforce, to embrace new ways of learning, and to become more responsive to rapidly changing market and business conditions. You can access the report and learn more here.
