Economic Diversification Toolkit and Webinar: Join us on September 29th!

For much of the past decade, EntreWorks Consulting has been part of a team, led by the National Association of Counties, focused on helping coal-reliant communities develop plans to diversify their economies in the face of coal mine and power plant shutdowns.  This work has been rewarding and has generated many great ideas and local economic development victories across the US.  Next Monday, September 29^th, our project partners will take stock of the great work done under the umbrella of the Building Resilient Economies in Coal Communities (BRECC) project.  We’ll be hosting a webinar (on September 29^th from 2-3PM Eastern Time) featuring success stories from the BRECC network and we’ll also be sharing a new community economic diversification toolkit.  The toolkit shares ideas and strategies that have been used in coal regions, but can be applied to any region facing a major economic shock, such as a plant closure or natural disaster.
