The Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Develpment (OECD) has recently announced a new skills strategy that seeks to help member countries develop better skills policies, i.e. what we in the US often call talent development or workforce development policies. As part of this initiative, OECD has developed an excellent website that is full of great resources. These include a report detailing the overall skills strategy and innovative practices from around the globe, and a set of country-specific assessments and tools to compare nations on key skills metrics. The US Skills Snapshot includes key data and case studies on leading programs. These materials are an excellent resource for economic and workforce development professionals looking for new ideas and approaches.
